JENNYFER MASSARI
Jennyfer Massari was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on March 7, 1980. At the young age of two, her family
moved to Meriden, Connecticut where she has resided since. Like many others, she knows what it’s like
to not have had an easy upbringing. For part of her childhood, she lived in the Chamberlain Heights
apartments known to many as the “projects” where she witnessed from an early age fights, shootings,
and drug-related activities. This was a low-income complex and many were on state welfare. During this
time, her parents also divorced. Your past does not define your future, however!
Jen, as family and friends call her, went on to graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA and was class
valedictorian. She graduated Branford Hall Career Institute and received her Health Claims Specialist
certificate. She has been a member of the AAPC for over 15 years and is certified in general surgery and
gastrointestinal coding. Currently, she works for Hartford Healthcare’s PB Revenue Integrity department
as a Charge Capture Analyst.
Jen has been an active member of A.I.C Rock of Salvation church for over 25 years. She was the church
secretary for several years and also held that title for the women’s group. She has been to Nicaragua
and Costa Rica on missionary trips. Anything she can do to help those in need and bring a smile to their
face…count her in!
When she is not keeping busy working for HHC or the church, she enjoys spending quality time with her
husband of 18 years, Eliezer and her two beautiful children, Eric and Sofia. She also loves cruising,
scrapbooking, and photography.
A motto she lives by is “We don’t give because we have…we have because we give!” God is good!
