Elyon House of Bread created a department division to serve Florida communities during disaster events.

Our volunteer Disaster Emergency Response Team is here to better serve the community and its partners. It is certified by the FEMA CERT Program with staff from all walks of life including: law enforcement, civil defense, veterans, retired fire fighters, Chaplains, nurses, teachers, Pastors, ministers, electricians and more.

During natural disasters we are prepared and able to reach, visit, support, and help members of our community, when others cannot.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area, as well as training them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.

We have open enrollment year round for those who would like to sign up and become volunteers to join our vision. Please contact us.
