Working with New Beginnings opened up many doors for Gilberto, Charito, and their ministry.  They continued to volunteer once a month with New Beginnings, where their desire to help their community grew stronger.  Throughout the next two years, they began to establish relationships with other ministries and community members to help those in need.  One of these community members was Publix.  Each week on Fridays, a volunteer from their ministry would pick up bread and pastries donated from Publix.  These would then be distributed to people in the community, including the homeless.
